1. Choose a player from the band to lecture on how they play their instrument.
2. Ask the player to lecture as if the rest of the players were completely ignorant of music.
3. Encourage the other players to ask questions about their instrument.
4. Ask lecturer when they started playing their instrument.
5. Where they started playing their instrument.
6. Why they started playing their instrument.
7. What is their favourite aspect of their instrument?
8. Ask player to show any extended technique or “cool” sounds that they like to make with their instrument.
